HealthInfoNet has integrated the federal Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), and United States Coast Guard (USCG) data systems within clinicians’ existing HIE workflows by establishing connectivity with the eHealth Exchange network. The eHealth Exchange is a national HIE network spanning federal agencies and non-federal healthcare organizations. HealthInfoNet’s HIE Clinical Portal now allows users with a role of ‘Clinician’ or ‘Clinician Administrative’ to easily retrieve their patients' health records sourced from the eHealth Exchange network for VA, DoD, and USCG providers. In the future, additional eHealth Exchange network providers will become available for Clinical Portal users to query.
