Performance Measurement

This reporting dashboard presents aggregate- and member-level performance measurement results for all MaineCare members included in MaineCare’s most recent custom attribution file.

Before Getting Started

Before diving in, use of this reporting dashboard requires clear understanding of a few foundational components that we leverage in our analytics and reporting. If you haven’t already, be sure to read through some precursory definitions and methodologies. Those areas that we think may be helpful to review specific to the understanding of this reporting dashboard include:

Data Sources & Refresh Frequency

HealthInfoNet’s reporting dashboards combine a number of data files sourced from HealthInfoNet’s Health Information Exchange (HIE) data warehouse and MaineCare’s eligibility and claims information. For each dashboard available, users should understand the primary data source(s) and refresh frequency to instill confidence in and inform use of the reporting within their workflows. Learn more…

Member Eligibility Inclusion Criteria

HealthInfoNet’s data use agreement with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services permits MaineCare to view information from the statewide HIE according to specific member eligibility inclusion criteria. To meet this criteria, HealthInfoNet receives a daily eligibility file from MaineCare that is used to refresh each reporting dashboard on a daily basis. Learn more…

🔢 Organization Measure Results Table

Contains aggregate performance measurement results for the selected attribution entity.

Note: Current and historical reporting periods' organization measure results will be made available to users.

Measure

This field contains the name of the selected eCQM.

Attribution Entity

This field contains the name of the selected attribution entity.

Measure Result

This field contains the calculated measure result (i.e., numerator/denominator) for the selected attribution entity.

Denominator

This field contains the count of members attributed to the selected attribution entity that meet the denominator criteria.

Numerator

This field contains the count of members attributed to the selected attribution entity that meet the numerator criteria.

🔢 Member Measure Results Table

Contains member-level performance measurement results for the selected attribution entity.

Note: Only the most recent reporting period’s member measure results will be made available to users.

Field

Definition

Medicaid ID

This field contains an ID that identifies a unique Medicaid member. Note: This is the ID referred more commonly by MaineCare as the 'A' number or the Member Secondary ID.

Member Name

This field contains the first and last names of the member.

Location

This field contains the name of the Location to which the member is attributed, per MaineCare’s most recent custom attribution file.

Facility

This field contains the name of the Facility to which the member is attributed, per MaineCare’s most recent custom attribution file.

Group

This field contains the name of the Group to which the member is attributed, per MaineCare’s most recent custom attribution file.

Numerator

This field contains an indicator that identifies whether the member met the numerator criteria (1 = yes; 0 = no).

Result

This field contains the member’s specific clinical result to support the numerator indicator.

Result Date

This field contains the date when the member’s specific clinical result was collected by the Health Information Exchange.

Dashboard Filters

Want to tailor the dashboards to look at only a certain member population or with certain conditions applied to encounter criteria? Easy. We’ve got plenty of embedded and stock filters for you to use to meet various cross-cutting use cases and needs.

🔍 Stock Filters

Stock filters are the drop-downs, sliders, and free-text fields located at the top of each reporting dashboard that allow users to slice and dice the data contents in diverse ways.

Reporting Period

The monthly reporting period for which the selected measure’s results have been calculated.

Measure

The specific measure that has been pre-calculated for reporting purposes.

At this time, there is only one available measure for MaineCare’s Accountable Communities program - Controlling High Blood Pressure.

Attribution Level

The level within the organizational hierarchy (e.g., Facility, Group, etc.) to which the desired attributed organization(s) belong.

Attribution Entity

The specific attributed organization(s) to which member(s) are associated for reporting purposes.

Medicaid ID

The ID that identifies a unique Medicaid member. Note: This is the ID referred more commonly by MaineCare as the 'A' number or the Member Secondary ID.

Population Type

The population subset defining Adult, Aged/Disabled, Child, or Dual members based on MaineCare’s most recent custom attribution file.

Expansion Type

The population subset defining expansion members based on MaineCare’s most recent custom attribution file.

Numerator Flag

The ability to identify members in the Member Measure Results table that are or are not included in the numerator.

🔍 Default Stock Filters

For each stock filter available, there must be a default value assigned in order to populate the reporting dashboards for users to work from. Those default values are defined below per stock filter.

At this time, there is only one available measure for MaineCare’s Accountable Communities program - Controlling High Blood Pressure.

Retrieves performance measurement on only the selected level of organization that is affiliated with members' attributed organization(s) based on MaineCare’s custom attribution file.

Attribution Entity

Retrieves performance measurement on all organizations that are affiliated with members' attributed organization(s) based on MaineCare’s custom attribution file.

Medicaid ID

All

Retrieves all members attributed to the selected attribution entity.

Population Type

All

Retrieves all members attributed to the selected attribution entity regardless of their population type.

Expansion Type

All

Retrieves all members attributed to the selected attribution entity regardless of their expansion status.

Numerator Flag

All

Retrieves all members included in the measure’s denominator regardless of numerator status
