Backend and frontend system performance tuning | As the service has gained new features, functionality, and use cases since its initial release, the backend and frontend systems have been re-tuned and optimized to ensure continued performance. |
Frontend accessibility features implementation | As federal and state requirements evolve for healthcare interoperability initiatives, HARP has started to implement accessibility standards aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA success criteria, as supported by the Tableau software, to meet the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. For more information about the service’s accessibility features, visit the Accessibility Features section. |
Frontend use case and workflow modifications | In conjunction with the (a) backend and frontend system performance tuning and (b) frontend accessibility features implementation efforts related to the HARP v.3.0 release, the service’s frontend has been modified to streamline use cases and workflows based on best practices and lessons learned. In addition to a new look-and-feel of the reporting dashboards' overall design, formatting, and layout, modifications have been made to the dashboard’s properties, filters, metrics, charts, and tables (including available CSV/Crosstab exports). Note: There have been no changes to the service’s methodologies as a result of the frontend modifications. For a preview of the new reporting dashboards' user materials, visit the Frontend Modifications section. |
New reporting suite highlighting the service’s administrative configurations | A new suite of reporting, known as HARP Utilities, has been introduced as a value-add offering to the HARP suite that provides users with additional information about some of the key administrative underpinnings (e.g., patient attribution and user permission configurations) of the service. |
New reporting suite for MaineCare’s ED Collaborative users | As part of this major release, the Office of MaineCare Services' (MaineCare) users of the HIE’s MaineCare Analytics Platform (MAP) and MAP Limited services will transition to HARP. Within HARP, these users' access will be controlled by role-based permissions that inform the exact type and amount of patient health information they are able to view within reporting based on MaineCare’s data authorization agreement with HealthInfoNet. HARP Limited is a tailored suite of reporting dashboards designed specifically to accommodate the use cases and workflows of MaineCare’s Emergency Department (ED) Collaborative. No other users beyond those belonging to the ED Collaborative will obtain access to these dashboards. |
