Accessibility Features

Overview

As federal and state requirements evolve for healthcare interoperability initiatives, HARP has started to implement accessibility standards aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.0 Level AA success criteria, as supported by the Tableau software, to meet the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Screen Dimensions

Static screen-size dimensions of 1280 x 720.

Font Color Contrast

Contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.

Object Color Palette Contrast

Contrast ratio of at least 3:1 for graphics and user interface components.

Object Titling

Headers and labels, when available, are clear and descriptive and use a differentiating font size and thickness.

Multi-Select Filter Configuration

List and drop-down filters are implemented instead of dynamic and action filters (with the exception of date range filters).

Data Download Availability

Underlying data sets used within the frontend are accessible for download and offline use.

Additional accessibility features will continue to be implemented within the service ongoing, as applicable.
